Repairing cigarette burn on upholstery?

How do I fix a cigarette burn on my new car's fabric front seat? I have vacuumed the loose fabric and a hole in the upholstery remains.

Since you state the material is a fabric, it can be patched by reweaving.

There are do-it-yourself reweaving kits, such as some of these from Amazon, but basically, you need strong thread to match the color and texture of the material, curved upholstery needles, and perhaps a piece of fabric pushed into the hole and spread out behind it to serve as support.

Reweaving is slow, and requires meticulous care, but will produce a virtually invisible repair. There are videos showing the technique, such as this on loose fabric or this on mending the material in-place.
