Kubuntu 26.04 Won't Restart or Fully Shutdown

After a few updates last week my pc wont shutdown. just stays on a black screen but hardware is on. I can dual boot to win10 and it shutdown or restarts just fine. Also, my wife has same exact hardware and software and she doesn't have same problem. Her PC reboots flawlessly.
